Know Before You Park: City and Private

Not all parking facilities in Coral Gables are operated by the city. Municipal parking lots are identified by city signage displayed at the entrances and throughout the property. Before leaving your vehicle, check the posted signs to confirm who operates the facility, the applicable rates and the payment requirements.

Coral Gables municipal garages charge $1 for every 24 minutes or any part thereof, with a daily maximum of $18. On-street charges are up to $3.50 per hour, while city-owned parking lots charge up to $4 per hour. On-street metered parking is enforced daily from 9 a.m. to midnight. Drivers using municipal lots should follow the payment and enforcement information posted at each location.

Private parking lots and garages establish their own rates and policies. Drivers should carefully review all posted signs because city parking rates, exemptions and procedures may not apply. This includes drivers displaying a disabled parking permit, who may still be required to pay at a private facility.

When parking in a city garage with a disabled parking permit, the permit holder must be in the vehicle and should be prepared to present the permit and identification when exiting. Disabled parking permits may be used only when the person to whom the permit was issued is being transported.

Visit the Parking Department page for a list of all city-owned parking facilities and parking FAQs.
