In recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week observed April 21-27, 2024, the City of Coral Gables Police Department's Victim/Witness Unit is launching their first annual drive. With your help, the items donated will be distributed throughout the county to local partners and shelters that support victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and trafficking.
You can bring your donations beginning now through the end of April. Any little bit helps. Donation boxes will be placed in the Public Safety Building, 2151 Salzedo St., and City Hall, 405 Biltmore Way. Donations can also be handed to Neighborhood Safety Aides.
Needed items include:
- Small-sized diapers and baby wipes
- Gently-used clothing and shoes, and clean, new undergarments
- Purses and backpacks
- Laundry detergent
- Bed linens (twin-sized) and blankets
- Personal grooming supplies, cosmetic products, bath towels and toilet paper
- Toiletries
- Pads/tampons
- Toothbrushes
- Deodorant
- Body wash/soap
- Shampoo/conditioner
- Cell phones, laptops, computers and tablets
- Gas cards, transport passes and Publix/Walmart gift cards
- Blank notebooks and school supplies
- Kids' toys, games, crafts, and books
