Experience "Unthreaded Stories", a group exhibition featuring artists’ books that explore the book as a textile object. The exhibition will take place Friday, Sept. 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Red Thread Art Studio, 283 Catalonia Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
Through fabric, paper, thread, fiber, stitching and sculptural techniques, participating artists transform the traditional book into works meant to be discovered, unfolded and experienced. The exhibition brings together individual narratives while exploring the intersection of books, textiles and contemporary fiber art.
The exhibition coincides with Red Thread Art Studio’s September Open Studios, giving visitors an opportunity to meet resident artists, explore their working spaces and learn more about their creative practices.
