Coral Gables Art Cinema will present a screening of the 1952 film "Million Dollar Mermaid" on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026, at 2 p.m.
The film tells the story of Annette Kellerman, the Australian swimmer, performer and silent-film star who became known as the “Venetian Mermaid” after being hired by city founder George Merrick in 1925 to help promote the new City of Coral Gables.
Admission is $8 for members and $11.75 for nonmembers. Tickets may be purchased in advance at GablesCinema.com.
