Concepto I is Sánchez’s first bronze sculpture and is composed of two pieces facing each other as if in conversation. The white painted bronze expresses the same feeling perceived in her stretched canvas paintings. For over seven decades, Sánchez has explored the relationship between pictorial and sculptural, and between the outer body and inner being.
