Documents required:

  • For Coral Gables' resident rates, two state-issued proofs of Coral Gables residency. One must include a valid Photo ID.
  • Birth proof of participant
  • Report card of the participant 

Summer Camps Registration Information 

  • Grade-oriented camps: (i.e. Club PLAY and Half day FUN camp) We need a report card/progress report/proof that the child is enrolled in school for the appropriate grade.
  • Age-oriented camp: We require a copy of their birth certificate or passport upon enrollment. (If enrolled in other programs requiring age verification, we make a note that age has been verified on the client account)
  • All Residents: Those registering for summer camp must provide two (2) proofs of residency when registering for summer camp. If they are in our system and have participated in programs THIS YEAR we do not need to see residency proof. If they have not done any programs within the calendar year, they need to provide residency proof prior to registration.
Summer Camp for All  
All children deserve to experience the excitement of summer camp. Families of children with disabilities, medical concerns, or other unique needs, who may benefit from written, reasonable accommodations, are encouraged to contact the City’s PLAY for All Program. The PLAY for All team will work with you to identify your child’s needs and develop a written Accommodation Plan so they can enjoy an inclusive, accessible, summer among peers. For more information, or to request services contact the PLAY for All team PlayForAll@coralgables.com or ask for an ADA Request Form at any facility’s registration desk.

Late Pickup Information

  • Camps Ending at 1 p.m.
    An additional fee of $12.50  will be assessed for every 15 minutes (or any part of) a parent is late picking up their child. Assessment of fee begins at 1:01 p.m. 
  • Camps Ending at 1:30 p.m.
    An additional fee of $12.50 will be assessed for every 15 minutes (or any part of) a parent is late picking up their child. Assessment of fee begins at 1:31 p.m.
  • Camps Ending at 5 p.m.
    An additional fee of $12.50 will be assessed for every 15 minutes (or any part of) a parent is late picking up their child. Assessment of fee begins at 5:01 p.m.
  • Camps Ending at 6 p.m.

This summer is going to be the perfect opportunity for your child to have fun and make new friends. Each week of the summer has different field trips, cool activities, new games, and a special event at the end of each week. Field trip departure times vary for this camp and some waivers have to be notarized in advance.

My First Camp

Ages 4 - 5-years-old
Location: War Memorial Youth Center, 405 University Drive

This camp strives to continue building upon values and developmental skills learned in their pre-school program at the same time introducing children to a summer camp environment and activities that improve motor skills, social skills, and hand-eye coordination. Activities include outdoor games, arts and crafts, exercise,  snack time, and story time. Camper must be 4 years old and toilet trained before the camp starting date. Proof of age is required during registration.

Early drop-off: 7:30 a.m. / Late pick-up: 4 p.m.

Teens Outside Summer Camp

Ages: Completed 6th - 8th Grade
Location: War Memorial Youth Center, 405 University Drive

The Teens Outside program offers a well-rounded opportunity for teens to experience exciting activities each week. Outdoor field trips and indoor programming provides ample opportunities for team building and cooperation. The goal of this camp is for each participant to leave camp with a positive experience, acquire new skills, and make new friends that will last a lifetime. We encourage all parents to sign up in advance for this camp. Field trip departure times vary for this camp and some waivers have to be notarized in advance.

Basketball Camp

Come out and sharpen your skills in the Coral Gables Basketball Camp. This program teaches the fundamentals of basketball while emphasizing good sportsmanship and teamwork. The goal is to provide a safe, fun, and instructional environment for the youth in our community. Camp is supervised and operated by Youth Center staff.

Tumblebees Gymnastics Summer Camp

Location: War Memorial Youth Center, 405 University Drive

Tumble through summer with the professional staff at Tumblebees Gymnastics. Campers will enjoy instructional coaching on our Olympic-style equipment including Balance Beam, Bars, Vault, Spring Floor, Tumble-Trak, and more. Campers will enjoy arts & crafts, games, and creative movement activities in addition to their gymnastics. We also offer extra activities each day of the week for our full-day campers including fun in our bounce houses, karaoke, movies, and Splash Day every Friday.

Gables Elite Soccer Camp

The mission of the program is to provide community youth with a developmental soccer program. Gables Developmental Soccer program has adopted the philosophy of a fun, non-pressured, 'athlete first and winning second' mentality, addressing motor skills, adjusting balance and coordination, fitness and stamina in a healthy environment.

Come have some fun in the sun at Venetian Pool!  This camp is completely recreational for your child’s enjoyment.  They will enjoy time in the pool with our staff that will provide games and fun. Participants must bring a towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes. Snack will be provided.

Guard Start Program - Life Guard Aide Course

Location: Venetian Pool, 2701 de Soto Boulevard 

Do you want to become a Lifeguard Aid?  This program is an advanced course geared towards teaching water safety through the eyes of a lifeguard.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn and earn a certificate of completion in CPR, AED, and First Aid management. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates 15 years and above may volunteer and earn community service hours by assisting camp counselors during the Jr. Lifeguard Camp. Participants must bring a towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.

Junior Lifeguard: Team Rescuers:  Ages 5 - 7-years-old
Junior Lifeguard: Team Life Savers:  Ages 8 - 12-years-old

Location: Venetian Pool, 2701 de Soto Boulevard 

Come see what lifeguarding is all about!  This camp program is geared towards teaching children water safety through the eyes of a lifeguard.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn CPR, First Aid management, and water rescue skills in a fun yet challenging way. There is a maximum of 20 participants for each age group. The program includes swim instruction, a T-shirt, lunch, and snacks. Participants must bring a towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.

Junior Golf Inclusive & Adaptive Summer Camp

Location: Granada Golf Course, 2001 Granada Boulevard

Campers will be paired in groups based on age and skill level. This camp is taught by PGA Golf Professionals and is designed to meet the needs of junior golfers of all abilities. Campers will participate in different types of contests and games while learning swing and shot techniques, golf rules, tournament play, and participate in Golf Olympics. My First Tennis Camp

Location: William H. Kerdyk Biltmore Tennis Center, 1150 Anastasia Avenue

This program introduces the sport of tennis in a fun and interactive way to “little ones.” By using modified equipment consisting of large red, low-compression balls, shorter length racquets, and reduced sized court dimensions and net height. Emphasis in the development of fundamental movements, agility, and coordination alongside certified tennis professionals.

Smash & Splash Summer Tennis Camp

Location: William H. Kerdyk Biltmore Tennis Center, 1150 Anastasia Avenue

This is a progressive development camp that will teach your child the necessary skills to be successful in tennis while in a relaxed and friendly environment. Campers will break from the heat with a daily field trip to the historic Venetian Pool for a swim and lunch. Players displaying competitive skills may be identified by their coaches and invited to play against local parks and clubs in team match. Children will be divided into groups by age and skill level providing your aspiring tennis star with the most encouraging atmosphere to learn and advance.

This is a hands-on LEGO® S.T.E.M. camp where students will design and build educational models including motorized machines. Bricks 4 Kidz® camp counselors provide the raw materials for the children’s imagination to create with – model plans, using LEGO® Bricks. The models students will build every day are challenging and fun, providing the complete fundamental components of robotics at its best!

This is an exciting musical theater camp that exposes young artists to singing, acting, and dancing all in one! Guided by well-trained directors, campers prepare during the four-week session on a musical production to perform for family and friends! This also features sets, costumes, lights, audio, and a great experience for all. Evolve Theatre Company’s mission is to help children learn their craft and lead them to grow into the artist they wish to become.
