Camps Registration Start Dates:

  • Members and Residents: March 22 
  • Open Registration: April 5

Registration office hours at the Coral Gables Youth Center:
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Documents required:

  • For Coral Gables resident rates, two state-issued proofs of Coral Gables residency. One must include a valid Photo ID.
  • Birth proof of participant
  • Report card of participant 

Summer Camps Registration Information 

  • Grade oriented camps  : (i.e. Club PLAY and Half day FUN camp) We need a report card/progress report/proof that child is enrolled in school for appropriate grade.
  • Age oriented camp  : We require a copy of their birth certificate or passport upon enrollment. (If enrolled in other programs requiring age verification, we make a note that age has been verified on the clients account)
  • All Residents : Those registering for summer camp must provide two (2) proofs of residency when registering for summer camp. If they are in our system and have participated in programs THIS YEAR we do not need to see residency proof. If they have not done any programs within the calendar year, they need to provide residency proof prior to registration.
Summer Camp for All  
All children deserve to experience the excitement of summer camp. Families of children with disabilities, medical concerns, or other unique needs, who may benefit from written, reasonable accommodations, are encouraged to contact the City’s PLAY for All Program. The PLAY for All team will work with you to identify your child’s needs and develop a written Accommodation Plan so they can enjoy an inclusive, accessible, summer among peers. For more information, or to request services contact the PLAY for All team PlayForAll@coralgables.com or ask for an ADA Request Form at any facility’s registration desk.

Late Pickup Information

  • Camps Ending at 1:00 p.m.
    An additional fee of $12.50  will be assessed for every 15 minutes (or any part of) a parent is late picking up their child. Assessment of fee begins at 1:01 p.m. 
  • Camps Ending at 1:30 p.m.
    An additional fee of $12.50 will be assessed for every 15 minutes (or any part of) a parent is late picking up their child. Assessment of fee begins at 1:31 p.m.
  • Camps Ending at 5:00 p.m.
    An additional fee of $12.50 will be assessed for every 15 minutes (or any part of) a parent is late picking up their child. Assessment of fee begins at 5:01 p.m.
  • Camps Ending at 6:00 p.m.
    An additional fee of $12.50 will be assessed for every 15 minutes (or any part of) a parent is late picking up their child. Assessment of fee begins at 6:01 p.m.

At the Coral Gables War Memorial Youth Center
  Age group: Completed Kindergarten - 5th Grade

This summer is going to be the perfect opportunity for your children to unwind and make new friends. Each week of the summer has different field trips, cool activities, new games and a special event at the end of We are excited to provide you with summer care that will focus on the highest safety standards through the use of small co-horted groups that will become an extension of your family household. While there will be no field trips this summer, staff will focus on bringing experiences into the classroom and as much outdoor time as the weather allows! Activities will include arts and crafts, skills and drills, games and much more. All children must wear a mask for the duration of the program with the exception of when eating or drinking. Lunch is not provided through camp this summer, children must bring packed lunch from home. No field trips will take place for this camp. No early drop off or late pick up.

My First Camp

At the Coral Gables War Memorial Youth Center
Ages 4 - 5-years-old

This camp strives to continue building upon values and developmental skills learned in their pre-school program at the same time introducing children to summer camp and activities that improve motor and social skills and hand-eye coordination. Activities include outdoor games, arts & crafts, snack time, story time and more! Campers must be 4 years old and potty trained before camp starting date. Proof of age is required during registration. Campers must be able to wear a mask at all times during camp hours except when eating or drinking.

Fitness Fun Summer Camp Full Day 

At the Coral Gables War Memorial Youth Center
8-15 years-old

This program is to promote fitness and wellness in a fun environment. Fitness Fun Camp combines the best of the General Conditioning Camp and the Pre-Teen and Teen Camps. The participant will experience and learn the important role exercise plays in the development of total Physical Fitness, focusing activities towards the improvement of weight management, speed, agility, quickness, strength and cardiovascular fitness.

Basketball Half Day Camp

  Ages 7 - 12-years-old

Come out and sharpen your skills in the Coral Gables Basketball Camp. This program teaches the fundamentals of basketball while emphasizing good sportsmanship and teamwork. The goal is to provide a safe, fun, and instructional environment for the youth in our community. Camp is supervised and operated by Youth Center staff.

Half Day Fun Sports Camp

At the Coral Gables Youth Center
  Ages 7 - 12-years-old

A fun introduction to the following sports: flag football, soccer, baseball/whiffle ball, dodgeball, and basketball. The focus will be on learning the fundamentals of each sport with an emphasis on making new friends and having fun.
Important Information: You will not be able to register for a Morning Camp if you are enrolled in Half Day Sports Camp

Volleyball Half Day Camp

Ages 7-15-years-old

This program is designed to help players improve their fundamental volleyball skills. Players will learn how to serve, pass and set, through drills and training exercises. They will also learn the game strategy and good sportsmanship practices. Each player will be required to have their own volleyball. There will be no scrimmages or games held in this format. Temperature checks, physical distancing and facial covering will be required.

Tumblebees Gymnastics Summer Camp Full Day 

4 - 12-years-old
  At the Coral Gables War Memorial Youth Center

Tumble through Sumer with the professional staff at Tumblebees. Campers will enjoy instructional coaching on our Olympic- Style equipment including air track, balance beam, bars, vault, spring floor, and tumble trak. Preschool campers will enjoy arts and crafts and creative movement activities in addition to their gymnastics. Early drop off and late pick-up offered at an additional weekly fee.

Guard Start Program - Life Guard Aide Course

Guard Start Program – Lifeguard Aide Course
Ages 13 - 15-years-old

Do you want to become a Lifeguard Aid?  This program is an advanced course geared towards teaching water safety through the eyes of a lifeguard.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn and earn a certificate of completion in CPR, AED and First Aid management. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates 15 years and above may volunteer and earn community service hours by assisting camp counselors during the Jr. Lifeguard Camp. Participants must bring: towel, sunscreen and a change of clothes.

Junior Lifeguard Full Day Summer Camp
  Ages 5 - 12-years-old

Junior Lifeguard: Team Rescuers:  Ages 5-7 years old
Junior Lifeguard: Team Life Savers:  Ages 8-12 years old

Come see what lifeguarding is all about!  This camp program is geared towards teaching children water safety through the eyes of a lifeguard.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn CPR, First Aid management and water rescue skills in a fun yet challenging way.  

There is a maximum of 20 participants for each age group. Program includes: swim instruction, T-shirt, whistle, lunch and snack. Participants must bring: towel, sunscreen and a change of clothes.

Early drop-off: 7:30 a.m.
Late pick-up: 6:00 p.m.*

Junior Golf Inclusive & Adaptive Summer Camp

At Granada Golf Course
  Ages 6 - 16-years-old

Campers will be paired in groups based on age and skill level. This camp is taught by PGA Golf Professionals and is designed to meet the needs of junior golfers of all abilities. Campers will participate in different types of contests and games while learning swing and shot techniques, golf rules, tournament play, and participate in Golf Olympics. Registration is open to participants with or without disabilities. All participants must register at the Youth Center. For additional information contact Philip J.
