Registration office hours at the Coral Gables Youth Center:

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Documents required:

  • For Coral Gables' resident rates, two state-issued proofs of Coral Gables residency. One must include a valid Photo ID.
  • Birth proof of participant
  • Report card of the participant 

Summer Camps Registration Requirements:

  • Grade-oriented camps: (i.e. Club PLAY and Half day FUN camp) We need a report card/progress report/proof that the child is enrolled in school for the appropriate grade.
  • Age-oriented camp: We require a copy of their birth certificate or passport upon enrollment. (If enrolled in other programs requiring age verification, we make a note that age has been verified on the client account)
  • All Residents: Those registering for summer camp must provide two (2) proofs of residency when registering for summer camp. If they are in our system and have participated in programs this year we do not need to see residency proof. If they have not done any programs within the calendar year, they need to provide residency proof prior to registration.

All children deserve to experience the excitement of summer camp. Families of children with disabilities, medical concerns, or other unique needs, who may benefit from written, reasonable accommodations, are encouraged to contact the City’s PLAY for All Program. The PLAY for All team will work with you to identify your child’s needs and develop a written Accommodation Plan so they can enjoy an inclusive, accessible, summer among peers. Lunch is not provided but may be purchased separately.


Late pick up fees

An additional fee of $12.50 will be assessed for every 15 minutes (or any part of) a parent is late picking up their child. Assessment of fee begins 1 minute past the hour for camps ending at 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. Please check each camp for early drop-off and late pick-up availability.

Abrakadoodle Summer Camp (ages 5-12)

Ages: 5-12

When:

  • Full Day: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m
  • Half Day (Morning): Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.
  • Half Day (Afternoon): Monday - Friday, 12 - 4 p.m.

Explore art through hands-on activities and discovery with Abrakadoodle Art Education. Students will experiment with color, form, line, shape, and texture and make use of creative art materials, such as bamboo brushes, molding compounds, oil pastels, and many others. Indoor movement and outdoor play will also be incorporated.

Late Pick-up till 5 p.m. is available at an additional cost.

Basketball Camp (ages 7-14)

Ages: 7-15

When: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. This camp is not offered during weeks 7 and 8.

Come out and sharpen your basketball skills. This co-ed half-day camp will provide instruction in the fundamental skills of basketball with actual on-the-court game experience each week. Offensive and defensive strategies will be introduced as well as physical conditioning skills. 

7:30 a.m. early drop-off and 1:30 p.m. late pick-up available at no additional cost.

Bricks for Kidz - LEGO® S.T.E.M. Summer Camp

Ages: 4 - 12 years old 

When: 

  • Full Day: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Half Day (Morning): 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Half Day (Afternoon): 2 - 5 p.m.

This is a hands-on LEGO® S.T.E.M. camp where students will design and build educational models including motorized machines. Bricks 4 Kidz® camp counselors provide the raw materials for the children’s imagination to create with – model plans, using LEGO® Bricks.

Early drop-off at 8:30 a.m. is included. Early drop-off at 7:30 a.m. is available for an additional cost. Late pick-up provided until 5 p.m. only.

Change Evolve Theater

Ages: 10-16

When: 

Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Offered as a four-week session only: June 10 - July 3

Come out and sharpen your volleyball skills. This co-ed half-day camp will provide instruction in the fundamentals with actual on-the-court game experience. Offensive and defensive strategies will be introduced as well as physical conditioning skills.

Early drop-off starts at 8 a.m. Late pick-up provided until 3 p.m. 

Club P.L.A.Y. Summer Camp

Age group: Completed Kindergarten - 5th Grade

When: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Early drop-off: 7:30 a.m. / Late pick-up: 6 p.m.

Summer PLAY Green Group: Completed K - 1st Grades
Summer PLAY Red Group: Completed 2nd - 3rd Grades
Summer PLAY Blue Group: Completed 4th - 5th Grades 

This summer is going to be the perfect opportunity for your children to unwind and make new friends. Camp offers field trips, cool activities, indoor and outdoor games, and a special event at the end of each week. 

Fun in the Sun Half Day Camp (Venetian Pool)

Ages: 7-12

Location: Venetian Pool, 2701 de Soto Boulevard

When: Monday – Friday, 1 - 5 p.m.
Late pick-up: 6 p.m. 

Come have some fun in the sun at Venetian Pool!  This camp is completely recreational for your child’s enjoyment.  They will enjoy time in the pool with our staff that will provide games and fun. Participants must bring a towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes. Snacks will be provided.

Half Day Fun Sports Camp (ages 8-12)

Ages: 8 - 12

When: Monday - Friday, 1 - 5 p.m.

This half-day camp offers an introduction to the following sports: flag football, soccer, baseball/whiffle ball, dodgeball, and basketball. The focus will be on learning the fundamentals of each sport with an emphasis on making new friends and having fun.

Late pick-up available till 6 p.m. at no additional cost.

Junior Lifeguard Summer Camp (Venetian Pool)

Team Rescuers: Ages 5 - 7
Team Life Savers: Ages 8 - 12

Location: Venetian Pool, 2701 de Soto Boulevard 

When: Monday – Friday, 9 - 5 p.m.
Early drop-off: 7:30 a.m. / Late pick-up: 6 p.m.

Come see what lifeguarding is all about!  This camp program is geared towards teaching children water safety through the eyes of a lifeguard.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn CPR, First Aid management, and water rescue skills in a fun yet challenging way. There is a maximum of 20 participants for each age group. The program includes swim instruction, a T-shirt, lunch, and snacks. Participants must bring a towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.

My First Camp (ages 4-5)

Ages: 4 - 5

When: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Early drop-off starts at 7:30 a.m. Extended camp offered until 6 p.m. at an additional fee.

This camp strives to continue building upon values and developmental skills learned in their pre-school program while introducing children to summer camp and activities that improve motor and social skills and hand-eye coordination. Activities include outdoor games, arts & crafts, snack time, story time and more. Campers must be potty trained and able to dress themselves without staff assistance.

My First Tennis Camp

Ages: 4 - 5

Location: William H. Kerdyk Biltmore Tennis Center, 1150 Anastasia Avenue

When: Monday - Friday, 9 - 11 a.m. 

This program introduces the sport of tennis in a fun and interactive way to “little ones.” By using modified equipment consisting of large red, low-compression balls, shorter length racquets, and reduced sized court dimensions and net height. Emphasis in the development of fundamental movements, agility, and coordination alongside certified tennis professionals.

Smash & Splash Summer Tennis Camp

Ages: 6 - 16

Location: William H. Kerdyk Biltmore Tennis Center, 1150 Anastasia Avenue

When: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Smash & Splash Tennis Camp is a full day camp at the WIlliam H. Kerdyk Biltmore Tennis Center. This is a progressive development camp that will teach your child the necessary skills to be successful in tennis while in a relaxed and friendly environment. Campers will break from the heat with a daily field trip to the historic Venetian Pool for a swim and lunch. Players displaying competitive skills may be identified by their coaches and invited to play against local parks and clubs in team match. Children will be divided into groups by age and skill level providing your aspiring tennis star with the most encouraging atmosphere to learn and advance. Early drop-off and late pick-up are provided until 6 p.m.

Teens Outside Summer Camp (Grades 6-8)

Grades: Completed 6th - 8th Grade

When: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Early drop-off starts at 7:30 a.m. Late pick-up provided until 6 p.m.

The Teens Outside program offers a well-rounded opportunity for teens to experience exciting activities each week. Outdoor field trips and indoor programming provide ample opportunities for team building and cooperation. The goal of this camp is for each participant to leave camp with a positive experience, acquire new skills, and make new friends that will last a lifetime. We encourage all parents to sign up in advance for this camp. Field trip departure times vary for this camp and some waivers have to be notarized in advance.

Tumblebees Gymnastics Summer Camp

Ages: 4-14

When: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Early drop-off/late pick-up are offered at an additional fee starting at 7:30 a.m.

Tumble through summer with the professional staff at Tumblebees Gymnastics. Campers will enjoy instructional coaching with Olympic-style equipment including a Balance Beam, Bars, Vault, Spring Floor, Tumble-Trak and more. Campers will enjoy arts and crafts, games and creative movement activities in addition to their gymnastics. Full-day campers participate in additional activities such as bounce houses, karaoke, movies and Splash Day every Friday.

Volleyball Camp

Ages: 7-12

When: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Offered during weeks 7 and 8 only.

Young Stars Soccer Summer Camp

The Young Stars Soccer Camp's mission is to provide community youth with a developmental soccer program. Young Stars Soccer program has adopted the philosophy of a fun, non-pressured, 'athlete first and winning second' mentality, addressing motor skills, adjusting balance and coordination, fitness and stamina in a healthy environment.
