Patriot Day Hours of Operation

All city administrative offices will be closed on Patriot Day, Friday, Sept. 11. Garbage, trash and recycling services will operate on a normal schedule. 

Hours of operation for the following city facilities are:

  • War Memorial Youth Center: 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. 
  • The Venetian Pool: 11 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. 
  • Salvadore Tennis Center and William H. Kerdyk Biltmore Tennis Center: 7 a.m.- 9 p.m.
  • Coral Gables Golf & Country Club and Athletic Club Fitness Center: 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
    • Athletic Club Pool: 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
    • Venue: 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.
  • Granada Golf Course: 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. 
  • Le Parc Café: 7 a.m.- 8 p.m.
  • Neighborhood Tennis: 7 a.m.- sunset
  • Adult Activity Center: 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.
  • Passport Acceptance Facility: Closed
  • Trolley and Freebee services will operate as normal.

Remembrance Ceremony

On Friday, Sept. 11, the nation will come together to honor the heroes and remember the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, as we mark the 25th anniversary of the attacks. 

The City of Coral Gables Fire and Police departments will gather to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks at 8:30 a.m. at the city’s Fire Station 1, 2151 Salzedo St.

American Legion Post 98 Hosts Patriot Day

The American Legion Post 98 will also host a Patriot Day event that evening at 7:30 p.m. at 303 Alhambra Circle. The event will feature guest speaker retired Army Maj.
