CORAL GABLES, FL – The City of Coral Gables advises residents that Fire Station 2, located at 525 South Dixie Highway, will be tented for scheduled termite treatment from Thursday, Aug. 13, through Saturday, Aug. 15.
The work is part of the city's ongoing maintenance program to preserve public facilities. During the treatment period, residents may notice the station covered with a protective tent.
The city wants to reassure the community that all emergency response services will continue without interruption. Fire apparatus and personnel assigned to Fire Station 2 will be temporarily relocated during the treatment, ensuring the same level of fire rescue and emergency medical service throughout Coral Gables.
Coral Gables Fire Station 2 is one of the city's four fire stations strategically located to provide emergency response across the community. The temporary relocation of equipment and personnel has been carefully planned to maintain response capabilities and service levels.
Residents do not need to take any action. The tenting is a routine building maintenance measure and is not related to any emergency or public safety concern.
