Code Enforcement Moves to Citizen Request Portal

Coral Gables, FL – Beginning Monday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m., residents will be able to submit and track Code Enforcement requests through the city’s 311 Citizen Request Portal.

Coral Gables 311 is the city’s online service request system that provides residents with a convenient, centralized way to report non-emergency issues and request city services. Residents can use 311 to report a variety of neighborhood and community concerns, including potholes, missed garbage collection, streetlight issues, storm drains, tree trimming and more.

With the addition of Code Enforcement requests, residents will be able to report potential Zoning Code violations, including concerns such as unpermitted work and other potential code violations that require review by the city’s Code Enforcement Division. Using the same platform as other city service requests will help reduce silos between departments and support greater collaboration when issues require coordination across multiple areas of the city.

“Bringing Code Enforcement requests into the city’s 311 system gives residents a more convenient way to report concerns and follow the status of their requests,” said Doug Ramirez, acting director of Development Services. “Having one centralized place for city requests makes it easier for residents to connect with the city and get the assistance they need.”

Residents can access the Coral Gables 311 portal online at 311.coralgables.com or through the city’s mobile app. The 311 system is intended for non-emergency requests. For emergencies, residents should call 911.
