The City Receives Donation of Pet Waste Stations

The donation will support the City Beautiful’s dog friendly initiative by providing dog owners with additional convenient ways to dispose of their dogs’ waste.

Coral Gables, FL, Oct. 24, 2023 – The Farmer's Dog, the leading direct-to-consumer fresh pet food company, has partnered with DoodyCalls, the leading pet waste management services brand, to donate 40 pet waste stations and 80,000 pet waste bags to the City of Coral Gables. Coral Gables Mayor Vince Lago, city commissioners and DoodyCalls Director of Operations Paul Delaney will attend the donation ceremony to take place in front of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce on Nov. 8, 2023, at 11 a.m.

The City of Coral Gables has instituted the use of pet waste stations to provide residents with an easy way to dispose of their pets’ waste. Pet waste stations are placed along open spaces, parks, recreation facilities, public rights of way and plazas based on public input and specific criteria. After the city deployed the first pet waste stations as part of the neighborhood renaissance program, public reception was extremely positive. Many residents provided commentary that the stations provided a solution to a problem that was occurring wherein dog owners deposited their waste bags in the trash pits along the public right-of-way.

About DoodyCalls of Miami
With over 22 years of experience scooping more than 10 million doggie deposits every year, DoodyCalls has been named the number-one pet waste removal franchise in the United States by Entrepreneur Magazine. DoodyCalls of Miami is a veteran-owned and locally operated location providing dog poop scooping, deodorizing, and pet waste station services to Miami Dade residents, HOA communities, businesses, and municipalities.

Owners Aldo Centeno and Francisco Reyes were looking for a business opportunity to implement their love for pets and deep sense of community service. “Most of us appreciate how much dogs enhance our lives, but many people do not realize that dog poop is actually an environmental hazard and one of the major sources of conflict within residential communities,” said Aldo. “We are, therefore, looking forward to providing community managers and city managers with sustainable solutions to help keep their residents happy and build closer bonds with their pets.” Francisco stated: “As a former Coral Gables Police Officer and current resident, I am very thankful to our partner and thrilled to make this donation a reality. We also look forward to servicing individual residents. We scoop poop from your private yard so you don’t have to.”
