This performer for this event is Viet Trung Nguyen, Prize winner at the National Chopin Competition in Warsaw. The Chopin Foundation of the United States is proud to present the annual Chopin for All free concert series, bringing top pianists from around the globe to our doorstep here in South Florida. These events always include Chopin's music as part of the program, and everyone is invited. 


In 2021, Nguyen Viet Trung became the first Vietnamese pianist to qualify for the International Chopin Piano Competition in more than 40 years. Born in 1996, Trung studied in Bydgoszcz, Poland under renowned Polish pianist Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń. Currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Miami in the studio of Kevin Kenner, Trung has won many prizes at piano competitions, including the grand prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Vietnam (2019), third prize at the International Piano Competition in Karlovac, Croatia (2019), and the grand prize and first prize at the All-Poland CEA Auditions (2014). Polish music magazine Twoja Muza once called him "a music star with undeniable piano talent." He makes his CHOPIN for ALL debut with performances in Coral Gables.
