Autism Acceptance Flag Raising

April 2, 2026

2151 Salzedo St., Coral Gables, FL 33134

Join the City of Coral Gables for an Autism Acceptance Flag Raising in recognition of Autism Acceptance Month. The ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. at Coral Gables Police Headquarters.

This year’s event carries special significance. The Autism Acceptance Flag was created by students at Crystal Academy in collaboration with attorney, advocate and artist Haley Moss. What began as a classroom project has grown into a symbol of dignity, awareness and inclusion that is now being embraced by municipalities across Miami-Dade County.

Coral Gables was the first city to raise the Autism Acceptance Flag, helping inspire other communities to follow.

The city also recognizes the leadership of Commissioner Raquel A. Regalado, whose support has helped expand this initiative throughout the county.

Following the ceremony, the Autism Acceptance Caravan will continue through the community and arrive at Crystal Academy at 1 p.m.

Residents and community members are invited to attend and show their support for autism acceptance and inclusion.
