Supplemental Rules and Items to Keep in Mind:

  • Facial coverings are encouraged inside the AAC.
  • Wash your hands frequently or use hand sanitizer.
  • Patrons will be allowed inside facility 10 minutes prior to start of class for check-in
  • Patrons are strongly urged to exit facility in a timely manner after each class for proper disinfection.
  • Please stay home if you are sick.

Adult Activity Center Programming

The Adult Activity Center programming is offering many new, fun, and interactive classes and programs this summer. Some classes/programs included: tai chi, Zumba, line dance, scrapbooking, game day, and much more. For more information please visit here and register today!

Ride Free on Miami-Dade Transit using Golden Passport

Who is eligible?

Senior citizens 65 years and over or Social Security beneficiaries who are permanent residents of Miami-Dade County.

How to Apply 

If you are 65 years and over, please provide:

  • Current valid Florida ID or driver’s license with a Miami-Dade County physical address

If you are 64 years and under, please provide:

  • Current valid Florida ID or driver’s license with a Miami-Dade County physical address
  • Current benefit status letter from Social Security Administration verifying eligibility each year
  • Social Security Card.

When you apply, your photo will be taken. Your image will appear on your new card. This card expires annually on the last day of month printed on card. Eligible children must provide school ID or Florida ID.

We are accepting applications every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 11a.m. - 1 p.m. 
Applications must be submitted in person or email us your completed application at aacinfo@coralgables.com to complete process upon arrival.


Medicare Basics

Saturday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. presentation will be held in Spanish
Saturday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. presentation will be held in English

Medicare enrollment is around the corner. It’s important that everyone looks at their Medicare coverage at this time of year.
Some of the questions to be answered:
Which Medicare prescription drug plans will cover my medicines in 2022?
Are my Medicare Advantage Plan benefits and co-payments going to change?

A Night of Enchantment!

Wednesday, Oct. 13

Join us for a classic movie night at the Coral Gables Art Cinema sponsored by Commissioner Menendez on Wednesday, Oct. 13 for a night at the Coral Gables Art Cinema to watch the classic Singing in the Rain at 5 p.m. Tickets are FREE and available to the 50+ Community at the Adult Activity Center, 2 Andalusia Ave. or online at www.playgables.com The showing will include a FREE ticket to the movie, a small popcorn, and a soda. The concession stand will also be open to purchase additional snacks and for those with a sweet tooth. Tickets are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis. Tickets may be available at the door depending upon availability. We look forward to seeing you at the Cinema.

FREE Parking is available in the parking garage above the building, FREE valet parking is available across the street at The Palace, and self parking is available along the street.

PLEASE NOTE:  ALL first time participants who would like to receive the Coral Gables resident priority
registration, and discounted rate, must provide two proofs of residency; one proof of residency must be a photo ID and the additional documentation can be: utility bills(FLP, waster, water), car registration, lease agreements, voter's registration.
Residents will be asked to re-submit their two proofs of residency every year.

All first time non-resident participants must show a photo ID to register for classes.

Get your Free Adult Activity Center 50+ Access Pass today. 

In anticipation of the Adult Activity Center’s soft reopening, our team is thrilled to announce the new AAC Access Pass, which will provide contactless check-in, capacity control and quick priority registration opportunities. The Access Pass will be required for all patrons of the AAC to register for any class, program or special event. An active household/account with the Community Recreation Department is required. To register for the new pass please register at playgables.com or visit the Adult Activity Center on 2 Andalusia Ave. for limited office hours on Wednesday’s from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. To check the status of your household account please email aacinfo@coralgables.com.
