Currently, the Police Department divides the city into 12-geographically based zones, each regularly patrolled on average by a Police Officer. Neighborhood Team Policing (NTP) is assembling highly trained and motivated members of the Police Department and assigning them full-time to a specific area of the city comprised of neighborhoods sharing similar concerns and challenges unique to their common environment. Neighborhood Team Policing is fully supported and empowered by Police Command Staff to address and engage all matters concerning traffic, crime, and quality of life, while building collaborative and interactive relationships with the residents.
