The Legacy (Old) Business Licenses & Certificate of Use System is No Longer Available
New System
The City of Coral Gables is excited to announce the launch of a new Customer Self-Service (CSS) Portal designed to improve and simplify the Business Tax Receipt (BTR) and Certificate of Use (CU) process for our business community.
Beginning July 1, all business owners will be required to register for the city’s new CSS Portal and complete the required business information associated with their account using this registration link.
As part of our transition to a new software system, all businesses and state-licensed professionals are required to create a new account and submit a new application through the portal – once submitted this will create the 26/27 CUBTR invoice.
Please note that this process is not a renewal transfer and there is no linking of previous accounts or associated records. All applications must be submitted as new applications in the system.

Step 2: Submit Your LBT Application
Once your Local Business Tax (LBT) application has been submitted, our team will review it. Upon approval, a 2026/2027 Business Tax Receipt (BTR) invoice will be issued. You will receive an email notification with further instructions.
The Sept. 30 deadline has been extended through Jan. 31 and no late fees or penalties will be assessed for the 2026/2027 CU/BTR.
