UM Spring Game at Cobb Stadium

The University of Miami (UM) will host their inaugural on-campus spring football game at Cobb Stadium on Saturday, April 13. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. This spring football scrimmage will be the first opportunity for more than 5,000 spectators to watch Coach Mario Cristobal’s 2024 Hurricane football team. This is a ticketed event open to students, season ticket holders, football recruits and their families, donors and sponsors, alumni, and invited guests.

Be advised that event setup begins on Friday, April 12, when temporary bleachers and portable comfort stations will be installed. Parking opens at noon on Saturday and the area surrounding the stadium will be open to attendees with food trucks and other amenities. Event traffic will be directed to the garages and parking lots along Ponce de Leon Boulevard through the campus entrances on Dickinson, Merrick and Stanford Drives for both entry and exit. Security will be provided by the Coral Gables Police Department and University of Miami Police Department. Coral Gables Police will also be staffing the intersections.

The event is similar to the home basketball and baseball games where traffic operations are designed to minimize disruptions to the campus community and neighbors. In addition to the established traffic plan, the Neighborhood Safety Aides will be staffing nearby neighborhoods to ensure there are no inconveniences to city residents as it relates parking and overflow traffic concerns.
