The City of Coral Gables is consistently seeking innovative and creative ways to alleviate traffic congestion and parking demand in our beautiful city. Similar systems in cities across the country have helped to moderate congestion and improve air quality. The Coral Gables Trolley has been conveniently moving residents and visitors around town since 2003 and currently provides service to more than 4,000 customers daily.

Trolley service is free and runs every 10-12 minutes, weekdays and Saturdays 6:30 to 8 p.m., north and south on Ponce de Leon Boulevard, from the Douglas Metrorail Station to Flagler Street – conveniently linking downtown Coral Gables to surrounding areas. It allows Coral Gables' commuters to park once at the office and hop on the Trolley for lunch or meetings throughout the day. Residents are provided alternative transportation options to access major transit hubs.

Ponce de Leon and Grand Ave Routes

The Coral Gables Trolley provides service on two routes on Ponce de Leon and Grand Ave.  Ponce de Leon runs from the Douglas Station to Flagler and back to Douglas Station.  The Grand Avenue route starts at the Douglas Station, travels through the historic McFarlane Homestead District, and back to Douglas Station.

First Friday of the Month

On the first Friday of every month galleries and the Coral Gables Museum are open late and trolley service is available to 10 p.m. providing residents and visitors with the opportunity to visit galleries, shops, and restaurants and experience all that our Central Business district has to offer. In addition to trolleys, Freebee Service provides an easy and convenient no-cost alternative to explore the downtown and beyond.
