Earth Week

The City of Coral Gables in collaboration with the Coral Gables Sustainability Advisory Board is celebrating Earth Week 2018 (Saturday 4/14 - Sunday 4/22 Earth Day) with a series of events highlighting the importance of natural resource conservation and environmental preservation.   • April 1-30: Take the Wyland National Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation ( ) for a chance to win excellent prizes
  • April 2-30: Take the 2018 South Florida Commuter Challenge Pledge ( ) to take alternative mode trips (transit, carpool, walking, bicycling or teleworking.)
  • Saturday April 14th and Sunday April 15th at 11 am: Showing of the environmental film “Landfill Harmonic” at the Coral Gables Cinema for Family Fun Day. ($5 tickets purchased through the Cinema)
  • Saturday April 14, 2-4 pm: Coral Gables Museum April Family Fun Day: City to share recycling and other sustainability information with attendees. Please visit the Coral Gables Museum Family Fun Day website for more information
  • Tuesday, April 17th at 7 pm: Showing of the environmental film “Racing Extinction” at the Coral Gables Cinema (260 Aragon Ave)  ($8 tickets purchased through the Cinema )
  • Saturday April 21st from (9am-12pm): Coral Gables Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event in the City Hall Parking Lot (405 Biltmore Way).  The event is free. Please visit for more event information.
