Department Services Update

Department Services Affected by Coronavirus

City Clerk's Office:

Public Records requests, lobbyist registration, and financial reporting are now only online. For more information, click here

Documents that need to be recorded with the County: Please come with your completed documentation to the side (west) entrance of City Hall. You can also submit the documentation by email at cityclerk@coralgables.com. We will charge you via phone.

Notice of Commencements can be sent electronically to cityclerk@coralgables.com.

Community Recreation Department:  

All City parks and recreation facilities are closed.

Kerdyk and Salvadore Tennis Centers are closed.

Granada Golf Course is closed.

Development Services Department:

A permit and plans desk has been set up near the side (west) entrance of City Hall. 

Permit application must be filled out and notarized prior to your visit.  

Plans must be dropped off with a completed permit application, including contact information. Click here to download a permit application form. 

Staff will process the application and e-mail a process number for tracking and payment of up-front fees. 

Plans will not be processed until up-front fees are paid on-line only.

Notarization services have been suspended.

Mobile permitting services have been suspended.

Please call reviewers. If a meeting is required, video calls will be accommodated. Business cards for all the reviewers are located on the first floor of City Hall.

Microfilm requests will be taken by e-mail only.

Historical Resources: 

All plans and permits related to historic properties must be dropped off in a bin located in the Department’s lobby. Please include contact information. You will be emailed upon receipt.

The mandatory Cultural Grants Workshop will take place via webinar on April 2nd. For more information, click here

Parking Department:

All centralized valet locations in the downtown have been converted to 10 Minute Take out and Pickup locations for your convenience as you support local restaurants. These 45 spaces are free.  

Coral Gables Trolley service and Freebee service continue operating as usual.

All municipal parking garages are open.

Police Department:

CGPD’s Records & Property Sections are continuing services.  However, in an effort to comply with the CDC guidelines on social distancing, the following procedures are being implemented until further notice:

Records Section: 

The walk-up window services to request a police report in person have been suspended. 

  • If you need a copy of an incident report, arrest report or citation, please send an email to Records@coralgables.com or leave a voice message at (305) 460-5477
  • If you need an accident report, please send an email to Records@coralgables.com and include a copy of your driver’s license or government issued ID.
  • If you need any other records, please send an email to Records@coralgables.com or leave a voice message at (305) 460-5477
  • The fingerprinting services have been suspended until further notice.
  • The notarization services have been suspended until further notice.
  • The photograph services have been suspended until further notice. 

Property Section

An appointment is needed to claim/pick up property at the Police Station. Appointments are only granted for items of immediate importance to the owner, e.g. medications. All other returns will be processed once we return to normal operations. Call 305-460-5449 to make an appointment.

Public Works Department:

All services continue as usual.
