Development Review Committee

The Development Review Committee (DRC) meets on the last Friday of the month, and is an administrative and technical committee that provides input on technical issues raised by a development project for consistency with policies established by the City Commission, specifically the Zoning Code and the City Code. The DRC is composed of representatives from the following disciplines: Planning and Zoning, Building, Fire, Police, Public Services, Historical Resources, Parking, Public Works, and other departments as determined by the City Manager. The Chairperson is designated by the Development Services Director. Although the Committee meetings are open to the public, no decision is made at the meeting and public comment is not intended to be solicited. (Sec. 14-108 Zoning Code)

Effective September 23rd, 2014 the City of Coral Gables now requires a tree survey and tree protection plan when applying for an application for Development Review Committee.
