Code Enforcement is a division of the Development Services Department that is committed to working with citizens in a joint effort to preserve and improve the quality of life in the City of Coral Gables by enforcing the provisions of the City and Zoning Codes, which may include issuing notices of violation or civil citations (tickets). In addition, inspections are conducted at construction projects to ensure compliance with the Zoning Code. Effective April 16, 2017, the City Commission approved restriction on construction work hours
Effective September 11, 2014, the City Commission clarified that the following specific roof tiles are not required to be cleaned: handmade clay, cap and pan tile; or copper roofing materials. The purpose is to allow these roofing materials to age naturally. Please be advised that these roofing materials must still be maintained so that no vegetation is established. Details of this policy is attached. (Resolution 2014-184)
