For the month of June we are offering online Zoom fitness classes such as: Pilates, Line Dancing, Life in Motion, Total Body Conditioning, Zumba & Tai Chi with Polly. AAC Online Zoom Classes

Monday'sWomen working out dancing Zumba

  • Ageless in Motion
     Monday's, Wednesday's, and Friday's, 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.

    This program is designed for the 55+ population with no experience exercising. It is an introduction to a more active lifestyle through no-impact or low-impact aerobics, use of stationary bicycles, treadmills, and muscle strengthening exercises.

  • Pilates Mat Class
     Monday's and Friday's10 - 11 a.m.

    Class for beginners to learn Classical Pilates. Anyone regardless of fitness level can benefit from this class. Bring a mat and comfortable shoes!

  • Line Dancing
     Monday's 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

    Come & gain confidence by learning the basic steps, and the process of combining these steps together to form a dance. Join Maria as we have fun, while losing ourselves in the music!

  • Life in Motion
    Monday's 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., Thursday's 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
    This fitness class with Maria uses low impact dynamic movements that improve physical strength, posture, balance, coordination and brain health. Bring resistant band with handles.

  • Knitting, Crochet and Embroidery
    Monday’s, 1 – 3 p.m
    With volunteer leaders Luz Stella Stone and Nancy King. Bring a project to finish or learn new crafts. All levels welcomed.

  • Total Body Conditioning
    Tuesday and Thursday's 10 - 11 a.m.
    Full body workout with a focus on toning all muscles groups. Works on cardio, strength, flexibility and stability. Participants should have the ability to work on and off the floor. Bring a mat, fitness weights provided.

  • Embracing Aging
     Tuesday's, 2 - 3:30 p.m.

    With volunteer Wendy Kadushin, Ph.D. Group discussion topics include but not limited to Aging in America, Depression and Anxiety, Loss and Grief, Relationships and Family.

  • Zumba
    Tuesday's and Thursday's 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. 
    Is a calorie - burning dance fitness party. Zumba takes the "work" out of workout, by combining high energy and motivating music with interval style workout. Try this aerobic workout that pushes endurance and tones the entire body. Sweat with a smile.

  • Tai Chi
    Tuesday's 1 - 1:45 p.m.
    Practice the internal ancient Chinese martial art of balance, memory, strength, and peace. Patrons may also participate in the class by sitting in a chair for a modified version of Tai Chi

  • Baton Twirling
     Wednesday’s, 10 – 11 a.m.

    Come to learn the basic marches and twirls, it's easier than you think!

  • Body & Brain Yoga
     Wednesday’s 12:45 – 1:45 p.m.

    With volunteer Sandra Scheer and Beatriz Maldonado. A holistic approach to health with movement, breathing and meditation techniques. Class level: Medium. Bring a mat, block and strap.

  • Pickle Ball
     Wednesday's and Fridays' 2 - 4 p.m.

  • Advanced Bridge
     Wednesday’s, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m
    .
    Led by Coral Gables first accredited bridge instructor. The game of bridge is an exceptional mental stimulation for your brain. Build upon the play of the hand and expand your knowledge. Previous experience and knowledge of the game is required.

  • Circulo de Lectura
    June 9 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
    Meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month El Circulo de Lectura es un grupo de lectura que lee y habla sobre libros basados en un tema o una lista de lectura acordada. El Círculo de Lectura elige un libro específico para leer y discutir una vez al mes.

  • Scrapbooking, Wednesday’s, 1 – 3 p.m. Scrapbooking is a way of preserving, presenting, arranging personal and family history in the form of a book, a card or a photo album.

    Each week participants will get to choose the games they wish to play. Games include Mahjong, Rummikub, Phase 10, and etc.
