For the month of Sept. we are offering online Zoom fitness classes such as: Pilates, Line Dancing, Life in Motion, Total Body Conditioning, Zumba & Tai Chi with Polly. AAC Online Zoom Classes

  • Ageless in Motion
     Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.

    This program is designed for the 55+ population with no experience exercising. It is an introduction to a more active lifestyle through no-impact or low-impact aerobics, use of stationary bicycles, treadmills, and muscle strengthening exercises.

  • Pilates Mat Class
     Mondays at 10 a.m. and Fridays at 11:15 a.m.

    Class for beginners to learn Classical Pilates. Anyone regardless of fitness level can benefit from this class. Bring a mat and comfortable shoes!

  • Line Dancing
     Mondays, 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

    Come & gain confidence by learning the basic steps, and the process of combining these steps together to form a dance. Join Maria as we have fun, while losing ourselves in the music!

  • Life in Motion
    Mondays, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., Thursdays 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
    This fitness class with fitness coordinator, Maria, uses low impact dynamic movements that improve physical strength, posture, balance, coordination, and brain health.
    Bring resistant band with handles.

  • Knitting, Crochet and Embroidery
    Mondays and Fridays, 1 – 3 p.m
    With volunteer leaders Luz Stella Stone and Nancy King. Bring a project to finish or learn new crafts. All levels welcomed.

  • Virtual Book Club
    2nd Monday of each month at 2 p.m.

Tuesday's Women doing tai chi.

  • Total Body Conditioning
    Tuesday and Thursdays, 10 - 11 a.m.
    Progressive full body workout with a focus on toning and resistance training of all muscle’s groups. This class will focus on cardio, strength, stability, and flexibility. Participants always have the option to modify range in motion and resistance. Participants should have the ability to work on and off the floor. Bring a mat, fitness weights provided.

  • Support Group for Retired Members
    Meets first Tuesday of each Month 11 a.m.
    The objective of this group consists in helping members who have retired to find a meaning to their lives now that they don't work any longer. The group will include theory, activities and homework. Members will be enticed to discuss the issues they face at this stage of their lives. 

  • Advanced Bridge
    Tuesdays, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    Led by Coral Gables first accredited bridge instructor. The game of bridge is an exceptional mental stimulation for your brain. Build upon the play of the hand and expand your knowledge. Previous experience and knowledge of the game is required.

  • Embracing Aging
     Tuesdays, 2 - 3:30 p.m.

    With volunteer Wendy Kadushin, Ph.D. Group discussion topics include but not limited to aging in America, depression and anxiety, loss and grief, relationships and family.

  • Zumba
    Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. 
    Is a calorie - burning dance fitness party. Zumba takes the "work" out of workout, by combining high energy and motivating music with interval style workout. Try this aerobic workout that pushes endurance and tones the entire body. Sweat with a smile.

  • Tai Chi
    Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m.
    Practice the internal ancient Chinese martial art of balance, memory, strength, and peace. Patrons may also participate in the class by sitting in a chair for a modified version of Tai Chi

  • French Conversations
    Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m.

  • Circulo De Lectura
    Wednesday 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Body & Brain Yoga
    Wednesdays, 12 p.m.
    With volunteer Sandra Scheer and Beatriz Maldonado. A holistic approach to health with movement, breathing and meditation techniques. Class level: Medium. Bring a mat, block and strap.

  • Pickle Ball
     Wednesdays and Fridays, 2 - 4 p.m.

  • Scrapbooking, Wednesdays, 1 – 3 p.m. Scrapbooking is a way of preserving, presenting, arranging personal and family history in the form of a book, a card or a photo album.

  • The MS Amigos
    2nd Thursday of each month

    We’re a group of MS patients and caregivers that have been meeting regularly for over 10 years for pleasant social interaction and the sharing of noteworthy MS updates. 

Fridays

  • Barre Intensity Class
    Fridays. 10 - 11 a.m.

    The Barre Intensity Class is a total body workout that leaves you mentally strong and feeling accomplished.  It fuses Pilates, dance, and functional fitness training. 

  • Arts, Crafts and Conversations
    Fridays at 10:30 a.m.

    Be creative with our arts and crafts class! Instructor will present a possible project each week. Students may work on this or other projects.

  • Game Day

    Each week participants will get to choose the games they wish to play. Games include Mahjong, Rummikub, Phase 10, and etc.

    Second Saturday of each month at 10 a.m.

    Hosted by the Hearing Loss Association of America Miami Chapter. This group will meet to give support to the hearing loss community of Miami.
