Mr. Ceballos began as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Coral Gables in February 2018. Prior to joining the City of Coral Gables, Mr. Ceballos served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Fort Lauderdale from December 2016 through January 2018.
During his time as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Fort Lauderdale, Mr. Ceballos was the lead attorney for all land use and zoning matters, as well as counsel for the Planning and Zoning Board and the Historic Preservation Board. Prior to Mr. Ceballos’ transition to the public sector, he worked for Greenberg Traurig as part of the Land Use and Zoning group in the Miami office. Mr. Ceballos also has prior experience as a hearing officer and special magistrate in other South Florida municipalities.
Mr. Ceballos earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida International University in Psychology in 2009 and his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2012. Mr. Ceballos is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association, and the Belen Alumni Lawyers Section.
