The City of Coral Gables' Public Works Department has initiated a project to improve three major intersections in Coral Gables: N. Greenway & Granada Boulevard, Coral Way & Columbus Boulevard, and Coral Way & Granada Boulevard. The project will improve traffic safety and highlight the historic significance of Coral Way and nearby monuments and fountains.
On August 2nd, 2018 our first workshop was held to gather community feedback and determine design priorities. The meeting materials and results of the workshop can be downloaded below.
During the August 2nd, 2018 workshop, there was strong consensus for the following priorities:
Traffic calming for all intersections
Landscaping/beautification/preserve historic character for all intersections
Pedestrian safety/access, including complete sidewalks and crosswalks
Roundabouts for the Coral Way intersections
All 3 intersections should have a consistent theme and reflect the historic character of the city
These priorities will be used to guide the development of the project. Additional workshops where design alternatives will be presented will be held in late 2018 and 2019. For questions concerning this project, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 305-460-5000.
