Miami-Dade County recently placed street signs announcing the resurfacing project on Old Cutler Road from Red Road to Kendall Drive. The contractor began mobilization last week. City Manager Pat Salerno asked staff to contact Miami-Dade County to see if they would consider repaving the additional portion of Old Cutler Road from Kendall Drive to Cartagena Circle. Residents in the past have contacted the City asking for this stretch of Old Cutler Road to be resurfaced.
The City is happy to report that Miami-Dade County has agreed to extend the repaving of Old Cutler Road by an extra 1.25 miles, all the way to Cartagena Circle as requested by the City Manager. The northern portion of Old Cutler Road, from Cartagena Circle to US1, has already been resurfaced.
