Mayor Jim Cason welcomed Jose Maria Aznar, former Prime Minister of Spain, during a visit he made to Coral Gables last February. Aznar spoke to a group of Spaniards living in the United States during a public event organized by the Partido Popular, a political party of this European nation.
Cason presented him with a Key of the City, emphasizing the close relationship that the City of Coral Gables has with its sister city of Granada, Spain.
