The City of Coral Gables, Florida, The City Beautiful, a progressive, international, coastal and historic City is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated student to be introduced to the functions of municipal government. This internship is offered through the Development Services Department, as the intern will be assigned to the City Architect.
The intern shall be exposed to a range of responsibilities such as designing and developing a pamphlet for the Development Services Department, as well as developing a manual of Standard Operating Procedures. Duties may include, but are not limited to, handling administrative duties and staff personnel management for the City Architect and the Board of Architects.
Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. The incumbent must have knowledge of Architecture principles, as well as computer graphics competency and graphic design skills.
Salary: Unpaid Internship. It is the responsibility of the student to arrange for approval for academic credit from the appropriate academic department PRIOR to accepting the internship if receiving academic credit.
