An intersection notorious for flooding is now accessible rain or shine. This week construction crews with the Florida Department of Transportation completed drainage improvements on the northwest corner of the intersection of Bird Road and Ponce de Leon Boulevard. For more than 10 years, this area has been prone to flooding. The cost of construction was approximately $40,000.
