The City of Coral Gables is a finalist in the 2012 Savvy Awards Competition in the category of Digital Interactive for its new website. The Savvy Awards are presented by the City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA) and recognizes outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships. More than 40 entries from around the nation were received in the overall website category. The City of Coral Gables launched its new website in February 2012.
The new website features a photo gallery of local sites, a comprehensive calendar of events, Spanish translation, and easier to find information About Coral Gables, Attractions, Doing Business, City Services and “I Want to…” links. Icons at the bottom of the homepage also take users directly to the most common points of interest such as Coral Gables TV, e-News, job postings, City agendas, online services and more. The award will be presented at the 3CMA’s annual conference scheduled for September 6 in Portland, Oregon.
