Beginning in mid-August, there will be temporary lane closure on Salzedo Street (between Alcazar Avenue & Minorca Avenue) and Alcazar Avenue (between Salzedo Street & Ponce de Leon Blvd.) As part of the improvements necessary prior to starting the new Public Safety Building, an existing sanitary sewer line that runs through the property needs to be relocated to allow construction of the new building.
The work includes trenching, manholes and sanitary pipe installation, backfilling and road restoration. The upgrade will not affect the water or wastewater services in your area. There may be temporary lane closures or detours. Access to businesses and properties in the area will be maintained at all times. Some of the work will be done on weekends and at night. The duration of the work is estimated at 45-60 calendar days. For information, contact the City of Coral Gables Public Works at 305-460-5000.
