Since the City’s incorporation in 1925, the largest employer has been the University of Miami, now with more than 4,000 full time positions on the main campus alone. Hospitality represents almost 3,000 employees and health care more than 2,000 employees. Eighteen of the multinational companies have more than 100 employees each.
