Mr. Gee Chow is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the City of Coral Gables; a position he has held since July 2002. He directs the IT Department and is responsible for the development and implementation of all computer systems, networks, and software applications enterprise-wide.

Mr. Chow is a graduate of the University of Florida and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Science. He has over twenty-four (24) years of experience in the IT and broadband telecommunications industry. He began his professional career at the University of Florida working as a programmer and a network systems manager. Following his tenure at the University, Mr. Chow joined Miami Dade County and implemented a high-speed (OC-48) fiber network infrastructure for the local government. Since joining the City of Coral Gables, Mr. Chow has overseen the complete overhaul of the enterprise from a point-to-point slow-speed (1.5 Mega bit) network to a high-speed (Giga bit) fiber optics network utilizing the available cable plant from a local cable TV company. Mr. Chow is currently on the Miami Dade Broadband Coalition Executive Board and serves as the Chair for the Technology Group.
